Su Causeway is located in the beautiful West Lake Scenic Area. It is so called in the name of a very famous Chinese poet in Chinese Song Dynasty called Su Dongpo. Sudongpo used to be the governor of Hangzhou city. To be a governor, he is very nice to his people, in order to bring more convenience to Hangzhou people, he led to build this causeway in his reign. As a poet, he left us very beautiful poems to describe the beauty of the West Lake:
"Ripping water shimmering on sunny day,
Misty mountains shrouded the rain;
Plain or gaily decked out like Xizi;
West Lake is always alluring."
We can take the West Lake Cruise from the “Viewing the fish at Flower Pond”, which is one of the Top Ten Views of West Lake. After the cruise, we walk along the Su Causeway. If it is the spring time, you will have the chance to see the Willows and Peach Flowers greeting with each other.
